El filme, protagonizado por Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters y Dominic Cooper, tuvo un excepcional recibimiento el día de su estreno en Londres.<br /><br />En horas de la tarde del Lunes 30 de Junio, cientos de fanáticos se agolparon en los alrededores del Odeon Leicester Square en Londres para presenciar el estreno mundial de la película “Mamma Mia!”<br />Toda la entrada del majestuoso Odeon estaba adornado con las plantas características del film: limoneros y bougainvilleas de color púrpura que trepaban arcadas por donde pasaban las estrellas y otras ubicadas en el balcón del Cine. Acompañaba una fachada de una capilla de estilo ortodoxa recordando la locación donde fue filmada, Grecia, culminando ese toque mediterráneo una inmensa Alfombra Azul por donde desfilaban las estrellas. Y todo ello mientras la gente saludaba con banderas Suecas y la música de ABBA sonando continuamente.<br /><br />Tres de los cuatro componentes de ABBA asistieron al mega estreno, Frida Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus y Benny Andersson. Se encontraban totalmente felices y predispuestos para la lluvia de fotógrafos que rodeaban Leicester Square. Benny fue acompañado de su esposa Mona Nörklit y su hijo Ludvig Andersson con su esposa Lisa Östberg.
